FFA teens attend national convention

Eight Willamina High School students just got back from their first trip to the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The weeklong adventure began on Saturday, Oct. 15 as the students, along with three chaperones, boarded the plane for Chicago. For some of the students, it was the first time to ride an airplane.

Landlord asks for help with basic water rates

Vacant units are causing a hardship for property owners that must pay utility bills for rentals that remain empty, Brad Savage told the Willamina City Council on Nov. 10.

"It's a big hardship for us to pay for four units when we only use one," Savage said.
